Pirates wore necklaces! They wore earrings and jewelry as they were objects of rebellion. During the height of piracy in the 17th and 18th centuries, much of Europe, and especially England, had a number of laws that intended to regulate what the common people could wear and how they could live.
Found during one of our excavations, a treasure for any pirate. This chain will catch any ones eyes and scoff at the laws they thought to keep you down! Take this piece and wear it with pride, show those aristocrats they can't tell you what you can or can't wear. This Monet belcher/Rolo style gold chain is a chunky 27" inches long. Has a small clasp with the tag near it with "Monet" stamped on it.
